Our programme introduces the FASNA Practical Guidance Book and will enable delegates to:
- Refresh and focus their thinking about raising standards through effective governance
- Identify key responsibilities of governing bodies and the key characteristics of ‘Good Governance’
- Consider the new Ofsted framework and ways to evidence the impact of governors
- Consider the skills, abilities and experience appropriate for effective governance
- Consider practical guidance relating to effective committee structure and chairing meetings
- Reflect on current practice and consider next steps for their school and governing body
- Work with other delegates to identify and share best practice
