Roger Inman, Partner and Head of Education Team, and Richard Gold, Consultant of Education Team, regularly present the ‘Legal Briefing’ at FASNA National Conferences. FASNA members that have attended the members seminars on Admissions, Admission Appeals, Exclusions, Headteacher Appointments and New to Foundation for example will already have received the benefit of their expertise.

Members of FASNA are entitled to take advantage of a reduced rate fee if they choose to purchase the SK Education Law Retainer Service.

FASNA members who become Retainer Clients secure:

  • Their first contract year with a 20% discount
  • During both the second and third contract years a 10% discount

For the avoidance of doubt, this reduction will not apply to non-Retainer work carried out for these clients by SK.

The Retainer Service is a genuinely comprehensive service for schools with specialists in:

  • Employment, in particular support staff issues for foundation schools
  • All aspects of governance, including all forms of change of school category
  • School property issues
  • Daily school ‘business’ management including contracts
  • Admissions, including references to the School Adjudicator
  • Special Educational Needs and Equality Duties
  • Exclusions, with extensive and highly successfully experience in advocacy at exclusion appeal panels
  • All other features of pupil and parent relations including dispute resolution and information management
  • School relations with Local Authorities and external partners
